Indica Forum -> Indica -> sheet music

Does anyone know where I can buy piano sheet music for some Indica songs?
Thanks.

i'm not sure if i've ever seen indica sheet music for sale. i suspect if there was some sort of book out, it would be in the webshop (nothing like that there).

if there are other musicians here, maybe they could transcribe some songs and share them. i am willing to give it a shot....it would be fun! any requests?

Thanks Escapist.
If anyone has any information on sheet music, I'm specifically looking for the piano music for Onnen Kartano (Vetta Vasten would be nice too). I'm putting my daughter in piano lessons soon, and I'd love for her to learn how to play it.

I can play the beginning of "Varo" and "Ei Enää", but that's only the beginning and I don't know if it's the right keys Well, it sounds good, I think

DrDress

I would like to have them too if possible. As for requests, I would like "Hiljainen maa" or maybe "Kummajaisten Joukko".
Otherwise I'm getting a piano soon, and could give it a go myself.

i have transcribed "onnen kartano" and posted it here http://rabbit.eng.miami.edu/students/tm ... artano.pdf for anyone who is interested.

i left out all the "frills" (dynamics markings, pedal markings), as i assume that anyone who attempts this has probably heard the song before and doesn't need them.

have fun, and let me know how it works out for you all! it would be nice to ask sirkku or jonsu if it's right....

Thanks =)

I would like to play Rannalla, so if anyone finds the keys...

DrDress

Ranella would be nice. What program did you use? It seems good.

Magalik1
Posted 14 January 2009 - 22:32

Actually I'm searching for the keys But if you find it on the web, I'm interested... ^^

i used sibelius 5 notation software to write out the music, but other than that....just my ears.

it was quite fun to do, and i'd love to work out more songs. rannalla is definitely on the list!

I know what you mean. I did the same some time ago. I remember writing Enya's China Roses. Once I get my piano maybe I'll start again.

i'd love to transcribe it, but school is giving me hell right now, so it might be a while......

If anyone can transcribe, or point me to where I can buy the sheet music for Unten Maa, I will love you forever.

Maybe Indica should make a songbook =)

How about that?
Would make things a bit easier for us :D
I am trying to find the keys for Varo because I love the intro but I can't find it on my keyboard or on the internet.
GuitarPro is a nice tool for playing along with the music on piano or keyboards, so I'm using that right now for Scissor, paper rocks but they don't have Varo or Lauluja Paratiisista.
By the way i have the chorus for scissor paper rock (it took me awhile to figure them out) so if anyone's interested?
So I'm a bit desperate for the sheets...

I wouldn't buy one, but I do think that it might be a great product to have for sale to fans. I wonder how popular a band has to be that an item such as that is worth producing. With A Way Away, Indica's worldwide popularity probably now exceeds that which they have in Finland (in absolute terms, not compared to population of course)...

...or they could just share
Not much point in selling those for some profit, because let's face it, maximum of 50-100 people would buy it, and considering that these things would sell at say... 5$, you do the math.

Sure. No need to ask just put here in post or somewhere else and someone will find it useful.

I hope a kind soul will take it upon themselves to find/create some sheets for piano, since I've decided to start learning how to read piano sheet music from some books and online resources and will hopefully take up a piano course next year.

Trumpet sheet music just needs to be transposed down. Once I get Sibelius back, I'll make a pdf. You can probably still play it without transposing. It's in the key Jonsu sings during the song.

I got the rythm from some tabs I saw, so I don't take credit. I just want to know about any improvements so I can have a better version.

I'll try to get around to learning this as soon as possible, thank you. Also, if you could write down (or find existing sheets for) Erämaan Viimeinen and Onnen Kartano, and post them whenever, that would be great; I'm sure I'm not the only one interested.

I found some Indica piano-sheets from library. I happen to live in Finland, so they were quite easy to find. I took pictures of them, and now I have them as files. Problem is, that I don't know, how to upload them online, please help.
I'm also bit afraid of the copyright things, since the sheets aren't mine. In case, I can't upload them after all, I found them from: Suomipopin helmiä 4, 5, 7 and 102 Suomipopin klassikkoa, so thats where you'll find them from.

//I have Ikuinen Virta, Linnansa Vanki, Pahinta Tänään, Pidä Kädestä and Vuorien Taa. I'm also able to get Scarlet, and Wuthering Heights soon.

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=564

Perhaps some people here can be interested in your sheets

I'm pretty sure sheet music is fair game if they've been made available to public, and since you found them in a library, they have (unless you had to break into a high security vault in the library to get them), so that probably isn't something to worry about.

As far as uploading goes, you could use a site such as imgur to upload the pictures online and then proceed to post the links in the topic. If you could post these sheets up that would be great, so thanks in advance.

And also, welcome to the forum.

NOTE: You should be able to upload .zip attachments now. As far as copyright goes, you're safe. I doubt they would spend thousands of dollars and years of litigation against me for a few sheets. As far as EU copyright law goes, Indica-Fans.net is now a United States asset. So...
Image

Just don't upload MP3s of Indica Songs. We still need to be respected by Nuclear Blast :D
