I borrowed the Velhovaarin Lauluja CD from the library. According to the information on the cover, Jonsu wrote the music and lyrics of Klaaran Laulu and Luonto Lepää. She also plays the violin in Klaaran Laulu. Ape Anttila plays the other instruments in Jonsu's songs. He also produced and arranged the songs.

A quick description of Jonsu's lyrics. In Klaaran laulu, Klaara begs Velhovaari to take her along to the dreamland. In Luonto Lepää the narrator suggests that since nature rests in winter, people should follow the example and rest too, instead of studying all the time.

After a few listenings, Luonto Lepää is my favourite of these two songs. I think it has a catchier melody.

Jonsu plays the violin on Sanojen jälkeen on Alavala's new album, Minuntai. She even played it live at Minuntai's album release gig. It remains to be seen if she'll play it live again.

Alavala's usually not my cup of tea, but I like this song. Thanks.

Jonsu will be a guest vocalist on Amoral's new album "In Sequence." Amoral is a Finnish progressive metal band. Thanks to Nathalie for finding this.

Jonsu sings a cover of Juokse sinä humma by Tapio Rautavaara on a video tribute to the Finnhorse.
