Indica's Music in Different Compilation Albums
Indica Forum -> Indica -> Indica's music in different compilation albums

So far I met Indica's songs in these albums (you can even read the word Indica on the cover)

Gothic Compilation Part XLVIII
As If is included here
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/715/1125d.jpg/

Gothic Spirits Vampire Lady
includes Islands Of Light
http://radikal.ru/F/s019.radikal.ru/i63 ... 0.jpg.html

Gothic Romance 3. The Best Goth Love Songs
again Islands Of Light
http://radikal.ru/F/s019.radikal.ru/i63 ... 0.jpg.html

and at Gothic Spirits 12 (2010) you can see Precious Dark

Nuclear Blast Clips Vol. 1 (2011) includes video Islands Of Light (I already wrote about it in Indica news topic)

So, it is really cool that Indica is met at Gothic music compilation albums

Does anybody know any other albums where you can find Indica's songs/videos?

EDIT: I just thought - Jonsu said that she had had vampire teeth in childhood and now look at these covers...
Edit 2. damn it! Imageshack removes my covers! the albums were Gothic Romance 3 (2010) and Gothic Spirits: Vampire Lady (2010)

Edit 3. I reposted 2 covers on Russian radikal.ru . Hope you can see them. Click on them to get a bigger size

Hm, Indica doesn't really fit into gothic, especially 'As if' song. Maybe it's Jonsu's slight vampiric looks on some pictures.. Music is definitely not something that would get a gothic adjective.
I wouldn't be surprised if Indica is a part of many summer-songs collections released in Finland. Ikuinen Virta, Valoissa, Pahinta Tanaan and some other songs are really good compilation material.

Pro-tip: use imgur.com for hosting images. Will make your life a lot easier

I see absolutely nothing gothic in Indica's music. In fact, I don't think I would hazard to place them in any one genre. For me, they make up a genre all their own, something very few bands in my mind have been able to do.

There are Indica songs in at least 20 Finnish mainstream pop/rock compilations. This is what I found:

NRJ hits 4 (Ikuinen virta), 2004
Suomipoppia 4 (Scarlett), 2004
Suomipoppia 5 (Ikuinen virta), 2004
Suomihitit (Ikuinen virta), 2005
Hiuksissa hiekkaa 2 (Ikuinen virta), 2005
Suomipoppia 6 (Vettä vasten), 2005
Now that's what I call music 4 (Ikuinen virta), 2005
DJ Fuse Vol. 1 (Pidä kädestä), 2006
Suomipoppia 8 (Pidä kädestä), 2006
Kids top 20 (Vuorien taa), 2006
Now that's what I call music 6 (Vuorien taa), 2006
Back to school 2007 (Noita), 2007
Staraoke hits (Linnansa vanki), 2007
The Voice Vol. 3 (Valoissa), 2008
Kids top 20 Vol. 6 (Valoissa), 2008
Back to school 2008 (Pahinta tänään), 2008
Suomipoppia 13 (Valoissa), 2008
Summer heat 2009 (Valoissa), 2009
Musa soi 7: kuuntelu-CD (Linnansa vanki), 2009
Suomipoppia 15 (Valokeilojen vampyyri), 2010

There are also the following albums:

Elämä lapselle 2004 (Saalistaja), 2004
Livenä vieraissa (Kersantti Karoliina, Valoissa), 2008

Elämä lapselle 2004 was a charity concert shown on television. The compilation CD includes Saalistaja, but I don't know if it's the album track or live version. However, even if it is the "live version", I suppose it's live only by vocals.

Livenä vieraissa was the television program in which Indica played Kersantti Karoliina for the first time. The compilation CD includes also a live version of Valoissa.

Is it a usual version or something special for DJs?

I don't have any of those compilation albums, but I found some info http://www.dvdinfo.fi/djfuse/ (in Finnish) about DJ Fuse Vol. 1. It's not said directly on that page, but the compilation seems to contain regular album tracks. And apparently it's a DualDisc that includes the music video of Pidä kädestä on the DVD side.

By the way, these Finnish Singstar games include one Indica song each:

Singstar - Legendat (Ikuinen virta), 2007
Singstar - SuomiRock (Linnansa vanki), 2008

So Jonsu and Heini were talking about those in the old interview I translated recently.

I don't see Indica as gothic at all. Do you think terms gothic and mystic are getting mashed together?

Seems so. People just like to throw words around, I guess.

I really liked the theme and imagery presented with A Way Away. I honestly don't feel the music represented it enough because it was limited to fitting in the old songs. I think they should revisit it. The theme was powerful, sad, but not dark. It was optimistically yellow and invitingly feminine. I didn't like the outfits or the serialization from the videos though...well, maybe Jonsu's ;)
