Well that was disappointing. I'm not gonna say anything further about the video itself, but I finally got to hear Älä kanna pelkoa in its entirety (which I first did without watching the video itself, by minimizing Firefox, just to get a feel for it). I really can't wait to hear the rest of the Akvaario album and forget about this song.

Like with A Definite Maybe, the music arrangement is nice, catchy enough, but seriously, Jonsu's voice sounds pretty bland, to me at least. Maybe it's just bad mixing, but her singing sounds kinda forced, as it did to a degree on A Way Away, which had the excuse of being an English album, and their first one at that.

I'm probably gonna get both albums in due time, but from what I've heard so far, my opinion remains the same; I doubt they'll be able to dethrone Kadonnut Puutarha as my favorite. I'm gonna go listen to the other albums now, maybe they'll get me into a better Indica-embracing mood and my mind will change.

I'm totally with Watchlord here... I understand that Indica wanted to "get rid off the fairy stuff" and become more "mature", but being mature _does_not_mean_ taking your clothes off! I really did hope that Indica, or should I just say Jonsu, wouldn't lower to this level... All of the girls are extremely talented and beautiful, the music is awesome, Jonsu has a lovely voice... there's no need to lessen the clothing! Please... I'm almost crying... ;___;
(Oh well, at least Heini looks really cool there! Doesn't she? :D)

so, you do not like it??? Why?

As for me, I am really fascinated by the video. It's very beautiful. Not a story-video (which is the best option), but still very nice.

What does the skull symbolize here? DO NOT FEAR, is this meant?

Btw, there will be 1 more video by Lawrence'a Dolkart.

tuulisusi, I see no nudity there... though Jonsu really looks erotic.

Jonsu had vampire teeth in childhood, but in childhood she wanted to be like the rest, so she cut them, then she regreted it... she said so in a couple of interviews, here, for instance - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvTkenKSTd8 As I see, her vampire teeth began to grow again

btw, I do not think Jonsu is a fairy, I cannot see her as a fairy, I see her as a vampire

What the hell is the point of this video? To show how beautiful and sexy a woman Jonsu is? Thanks, but I knew that already. The objectivist in me is disappointed but not surprised. The subjectivist in me is satisfied only to an extent - she could do better. It's fortunate I don't really care for music videos.

Eh, it's ok I guess. Song, video... the whole thing gets an "ok." I like their "darker" stuff way better than this. It's all well and good to want to be positive, but it's not really my style.

I didn't say that there was complete nudity, but I still think that a _bit_ too much is showing there. The world is full of female singers who perform in very minimal clothing (and whose music isn't very good, so it's only the appearance that causes people to like them - well, that's pretty roughly said, but I hope you got my point). I don't want Indica, or just alone Jonsu, to be another female band/singer like that. In my opinion female singers wearing minimal clothing is simply pathetic. They can be famous, beautiful and skillful in a proper clothing, there's no need to lessen it! That's what I'm trying to point out.

(Final lightening: What is it with Jonsu being the one without clothes? I thought it was Sirkku who had problems keeping her clothes on... :D *ba dum tssssss*)

I noticed that too. Maybe someone is messing with the Matrix...

I was disappointed at first, but after watching the video for a few times it grew on my: I like the visual style of it, especially that sepia touch to the colours, it goes along well with the melancholic feeling of the song. The band shots are good too, a little more of them and a little less of "Jonsu only" would have been even better. I also like the setting with that wooden hut or whatever it is they are plaiyng in... and I think Laura really looks great in this video even though I don't like her new hair colour so much.

I thought there would be no videos at all, with these contract problems... Now we'll have at least 2. Is it not better to have a video, even when it is not a masterpiece. It is not a masterpiece, but it's really nice... And masterpiece costs money, the budget of this vid is smaller comparing with, for example, In Passing or Precious Dark. Though not very low, too. It was shot at theatrical museum in Helsinki, as I understand. Last time they got the most famous music video director - Ullaeus, and I've never heard about Lawrence'a Dolkart before...

I think it is a different version of the song, not the one in the single. At Voice it was nearly 4 minutes long, here less than 3 minutes.

After reading your comments I thought the video would be some sort of softcore porn :D

It's not that bad, but it's not very good either. Watching it left me almost indifferent. I was slightly annoyed with nothing happening in the video except for Jonsu staring at the camera, but I guess that has something to do with my sexual orientation. To be honest, this is not the first Indica video I don't like. For me this goes to the same category with Islands of Light or Pidä kädestä. No plot, no spirit, just some pretty girls on the screen.

For me it's okay if their videos are not that good, it's the music that counts. I just hope that the actual music of Akvaario/Shine will not stay in this same okay-I-could-listen-to-this-without-getting-annoyed-too-much -level.

EDIT:// Oh, it seems it is labeled as porn in Youtube, because I couldn't find it in the search results when the SafetyMode was on. That's hilarious.

Actually the video itself is better, than I thought. I think I can also stand their new musical direction, but the thing that really BOTHERS me is their casual clothing. It just....I dunno. And Jonsu in that video. YOU GO GIRL! She may be revealing too much, but atleast she does it in a sensual way, rather than the slutty Hollywood-way.

Hmmm....After watching the video a few times I think It has a potential, but it was made too fast and the director had a problem with showing his vision. The production is misareable. Lip-synch at the end of the video is just...really bad. Jonsu's lips are moving too low for the fast chorus, that's why it doesn't match the song. A little bit more time for the production and it would be a ,,good" video.

So, how come no one mentioned the relation of video/song and Jonsu's wedding? Am I just imagining it? I mean, as far as google translate allowed me, song is about overcoming fears, and video fits right in even though it basically have no story. I mean, you can see it as Jonsu overcoming the fear of finally getting married and 'settling' for good, hence why she is 'naked' and among wedding dresses. I just think that it has a lot more value if you look at it with that connection in mind.

As far as just video goes, it's ok. It has nice colour palette and is just pleasant to watch even though it has no story. It's a lot better than Islands of Light video. That thing was so tacky that it was hard to watch it.

Song is also pretty good. You can hear how they are experimenting with new sound and it's not necessarily a bad thing. Band can't stay in one place for 20 years and recycle the same sound and image. It gets boring.
